Bicycle Thefts... Still On The Increase!


Over the past year there has been a steady increase in bicycle thefts in the Riverside Ward area which includes Shad Thames.


Here is some basic advice:

  • Always secure your bike, preferably using two types of lock i.e. a strong 'D' lock and thick cable lock
  • If your bike is stored in a private car park then check it on at least a weekly basis
  • Make a record of the serial number. Even better, record bike details (and other valuable items) on Immobilise.com
  • Where possilble, use Forensic Property Coding such as SmartWater on your bike and other valuables
  • Report any theft to the police (For details see: Links>>Police)
