The Shad Thames Residents Association (STRA) represents the interests of residents living in the area bounded by Mill Street, the River Thames, Tooley Street, and Tower Bridge Road. Please look at the Constitution for more detailed information about STRA.

The Association is made up of a Core Group and a Network. The main method of communication is through this website and via email. If you would like to join the Network please complete the Email Subscription form or simply email your name, address and your preferred email address to: chairman@shadthames.org, you will then be notified when critical issues arise, alternatively visit this website on a regular basis.

The STRA Core Group tries to keep up-to-date with what is happening in the local Shad Thames environment, and makes representations to the various departments of Southwark Council related to licensing, planning, noise, etc. and keeps itself informed about local development, local businesses and those simply using our space e.g. film makers, event organisers etc. Through the network STRA also facilitates communications amongst residents themselves.

The STRA Core Group have representation on other committees including: More London Section 106 Advisory Board, Arts Steering Committee, Potters Fields Park Management Trust, Riverside Safer Neighbourhood Ward Panel, and we are in the process of developing closer ties with other residents associations.

The current Core Group members are:

Julian Griffiths (Chairman), Jilly Frisch (Secretary), Nick Napier (Vice Chairman), Michael Place (Treasurer), Anna Hollingsworth, Anne Lynn, Penelope Tay and Pat Varney.
